Devon and Karlton first met in 2020 through Harvard Business School’s 2+2 program. Since 2020, they’ve maintained a close friendship and working relationship as they pursued independent careers in private investments. Motivated by a shared vision, Devon and Karlton professionally partnered in 2022 to start Meridian Ventures.

Devon Gethers
Managing Partner
Prior to co-founding Meridian, Devon has spent the last three years as an Investor at Mercato Partners. In this role, Devon identified growth-stage companies and helped facilitate due diligence. Once in the portfolio, Devon worked closely with management teams, providing strategic guidance and governance counsel, and facilitating harvest preparation. Devon founded an EdTech firm (EarlyAdmit) in 2020 and successfully bootstrapped the business, scaled, and exited in 2023 to PE.

Karlton Haney
Managing Partner
Prior to co-founding Meridian, Karlton was a private equity buyout and growth investor at The Stephens Group. In his role at Stephens Group, Karlton reviewed new investment opportunities, supported the team’s investment efforts by conducting financial analysis, due diligence, and industry research, and worked closely with portfolio companies on strategic priorities. Before Stephens Group, he worked in various finance and strategy roles at Walmart Inc.

Dallin Anderson
Mr. Anderson is Founder and Managing Director of Serial Capital, an investor in seed and growth-stage companies across various sectors. Prior to Serial Capital, Dallin was Co-Founder, Chairman and President of Tolero Pharmaceuticals. Tolero was acquired in 2017 by Dainippon Sumitomo Pharmaceuticals. Prior to Tolero, Mr. Anderson founded Montigen Pharmaceuticals, where he served as Chairman, President, and CEO. Montigen was acquired in 2006 by Supergen (Nasdaq: SUPG), now Astex (Nasdaq: ASTX).
Mr. Anderson received a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Heather Harmon
Ms. Harmon is a 4x founder and former venture-backed COO and public company executive. Ms. Harmon is a passionate proptech and fintech leader, who has built and managed highly engaged technical teams, led product management, scaled operations from startup through M&A, and created innovative services valued by users. Currently, she is advising early stage companies to navigate intuitively through the challenges of raising capital, scaling a team, defining a product roadmap, and prioritization strategies. She completed a Pre-medicine degree from UC San Diego and University of Washington, attended the Universidad of Guadalajara, and UC Berkeley Haas School of Business for Artificial Intelligence.

Zachary Smith
Mr. Smith is Managing Director at Crescent Capital ($40B private equity fund) on the Investor Relations team. Prior to joining Crescent, Zachary spent 20 years at Wells Fargo Asset Management. He is an LP in Harlem Capital, Beta Boom, First Close Partners, and other minority-owned funds and has made over 50 angel investments. In addition, Mr. Smith is an impassioned ambassador for creating a real and tangible opportunity for the Black community. He is a founding board member of the University of Utah’s IMPACT Program, an internship program focused on post-grad education and employment, in partnership with HBCUs nationwide.
